La scala di valori è sempre la stessa, estremamente complessa, come un disegno di Escher, dove ne è rappresentata una che è percorribile in tutte le direzioni e su tutte le superfici.
Ciò che muta, da un individuo all’altro è la percezione che esso ne ha dei valori che contiene.
Gli ingressi sono molteplici e al mutare di questi muta l’ordine delle priorità di ognuno.
Ci sono rampe che salgono e rampe che scendono, ma chi le percorre spesso non è in grado di valutare con esattezza la propria posizione e sovente ritiene di notare l’errare del prossimo non rendendosi conto del proprio.
Lo sguardo di ognuno è stretto nei limiti della direzione intrapresa e la rigidezza del verso che si percorre nel tentativo di raggiungere una meta, impedisce di volgerlo all’indietro.
Il tempo che scandisce lo scorrere del percorso non ammette soste, né pause di riflessione e alla fine non si è in grado di stabilire se si sia veramente raggiunta una meta.
Ognuno è in grado di esprimere un solo punto di vista. Volgere altrove il proprio sguardo significa scardinare tutto il castello delle proprie conoscenze e rischiare di vanificare la validità della propria esistenza.
I punti di vista altrui si possono ascoltare, ma risulta difficile condividerli: ne va dei propri principi.
